Filming updates!! part 2

Later on the day we started to realize we needed a more busier place to film, somewhere that would be filled with people.What better place then the west end? so we decided to go to Piccadilly circus as Prince decided to go there from the beginning.

Like we predicted their were so many places and people perfect to start filming. we even met a random performer which we decided to use for our music video. He was confused at first although we told him it is for our student music video in which he was pleased about. Their were times of disagreements such as should Stephanie our artist to be filmed in certain areas such as this wall, where many people were looking. However at the end we got enough footage for the day at the same time we all enjoyed our day.

Filming updates!! part 1

yes i know i am late in this but the past few days in media have been absolute fantastic. My group started to film during the after half term due to the memory card not being taken. however we were more focused afterwards as slacking was not on our minds at all. So we started at Angel in which we met at angel station. The reason for this was simply to film our artist standing still in one spot as people and cars would go by.So that the cars and people would move fast behind them to show time changing.

Here is an example of this although it is not exactly like ours it is just for those to get an idea of how our one will be displayed.

Making of music video: Some pictures

Just an update. We have started editing the music video and here is a screen grab of our music video on final cut pro.

Editing

OK, Last year, in my group we did not really make use of editing in the thriller opening. I did not get accustomed with the editing effects and stuff. It was not that I could not be bothered, I just didn't know about them. Watching some group's clip in the theatre, I realised how making effective use of editing can make a difference to a video. It can entirely change how a video looks like.
So I decided that for this music video I will develop and utilise my editing skills. I was extremely surprised and pleased to come about some really wicked editing effects.
God help me, I will definitely use some of these effects in my music video.
You know Why? Because my group's music video has to be the best!!!!!!!!

Filming updates

OK Saturday morning we met at angel to film at Barbican. We decided to meet early so as to start filming early since it starts to get dark really quickly now and it is really cold out there.
I felt really sorry for our artist seeing that she was wearing a dress that did not really contain the cold weather throughout her shots.
We filmed the base tracks of our main artist and some additional shots of the lead dancer.
I think I can say we have finished filming now and can now start editing. Unless if we notice we need some additional shots while we are editing.
So far, the filming was fun and I got to know more about my group mates :)

Filming updates

So we met at Angel Islington to start filming the scene where someone stands still and cars and people are moving fast behind them. We did that and decided we needed a busier place to do the filming. Prince suggested Piccadilly Circus (as he suggested from the beginning of planning). I did not want to go because I just wanted to start something seeing that we missed one week and was behind in filming. But I reasoned with him finally and ended up in West end where we filmed and I had a great time filming and enjoying the busy atmosphere in Piccadilly Circus.
We encountered some setback interms of our Artists' composure and will to continue but it was over in few moments after persuasion and lots of pleading.

Filming

Wow its been quite a time since I blogged. I could not blog from home and I could not come during lunch times but I am free today so I can blog.
Yes, updates. During half term, we intended to do some filming but while picking up the cameras, the memory card was not taken. So that let to a waste of one week. We could not film and had to wait one week to take the memory card i.e. after half term.
I was really worried that we would not be able to meet the filming deadline as we were wasting time and had not yet started filming. But lucky enough, we got our acts together and started filming the week after. More updates to come.
